• -Easy to mould
  • -Very flexible and strong
  • -Very high impact strength
  • -PP copolymer based
  • -High thermal and UV stabilities
  • -Lower processing temperature (~180ºC) allows for energy savings in production
  • -Lower density (specific gravity) means more units per tonne

PTFA 07 is a new generation of halogen-free, highly stabilised polypropylene compound for injection moulded applications. The main features include ease of moulding, excellent UV and thermal stabilities, low specific gravity and a flammability rating to UL 94 V0 at 3.2mm. Examples of suitable applications range from electrical sockets and boxes to internal light fittings, plus other areas where a combination of high UV stability and thermal oxidative stability is required. A service temperature in air of 100ºC over a period of months to years (i.e. medium term) is within expectation. Articles made from this compound will meet the environmental criteria of both the WEEE and ROHS Directives, as PTFA 07 is 100% environmentally-friendly.
